Earlsferry Friendship Plaque

This memorial plaque is situated on the front wall of the Town Hall
in Earlsferry and was unveiled in June 1943.
Polish artist Zofia Kruszelnicka and Captain Tadeusz Sieczkowski,
adjutant to Colonel Jan Kaminski,commander of the Polish Paratroop
garrison in Elie and Earlsferry were nstrumental in its creation.

Saint Andrews mosaic

This memorial is situated on the front wall of the Town Hall, Queen’s
Gardens, Saint Andrews and was unveiled in October 1941. The mosaic
panel, the work of three Polish servicemen, Wladzimierz Klocek, Jan  
Sterling and Ewaryst Jakubowski, shows a Polish soldier with St Andrew
in the background and the Polish eagle below. The panel signifies
the union of Scotland and Poland in the great struggle for freedom.
